About Aleph Developments
Aleph Developments is an independent software studio. It is small on purpose: one person designing, building, testing and shipping, which is why the products are narrow and finished rather than broad and provisional. The name covers everything released under it — today that is Aleph Creative Studios, and there will be more.
Why the software is shaped this way
Professional creative software is priced for salaries it was never going to meet everywhere. A monthly subscription that is a rounding error in one country is a serious decision in another, and the hardware assumption underneath it is just as exclusionary: recent processor, plenty of memory, a connection good enough to sync a project folder in the background. A great many capable people are shut out by arithmetic rather than by ability.
So the constraints came first and the feature list came second. The tools run in a browser tab, because a browser is the one capable runtime almost every machine already has. They do their work on your processor rather than on a server, because that removes both the hosting bill and the entire question of what happens to your files. They are built to stay responsive on modest hardware, and they are tested that way. Myanmar-first is a design constraint here, not a marketing line.
What we have shipped
Aleph Creative Studios is a suite of six tools — vector drawing, raster editing, photo development, video editing, page layout and PDF work — plus the hub that launches them and holds your account. Each one is a real editor rather than a viewer: layers, masks, keyframes, master pages, form fields. Each one opens files in the formats you already have and writes files you can open elsewhere, because a tool that can only read its own documents is a trap rather than a product.
Every tool is free to use, for everyone. There is no card on file, no countdown inside the app and no feature switched off behind a paywall.
How it is built
Each app is a TypeScript and React single-page application built with Vite, served as static files, with a small number of serverless functions behind it for sign-in and — later — billing. There is no document database, because no documents are stored. There is no analytics pipeline, because nothing is measured. The entire server-side surface is an email endpoint, a subscription check and a checkout handoff, and you can read exactly what each one touches on the privacy page.
